All down to day three and it was between Steve and Bez for the tour honors. Unfortunately for Bez Steve was out the starting gates like a greyhound notching 21 points after nine holes with one blob. His back nine eased down some what but it was still enough to take the Wyder cup points 8 & 6, day three's stableford and the tour championship. Whitt completed and unbeaten Wyder Cup weekend with an impressive second spot. A 14/16 spit was only short of day three top spot by three blobs on 9, 11 and 18. Captain Pete claimed third spot and nearest the pin on the par three 16th (most pictured hole in Europe golf) His round fell short with a couple of poor shots when in very good positions. Dale finished in forth and Gez in fifth taking one of the nearest the pin prizes. Sean A and Andy L both ended the weekend with a mid range 24 points. Both having some good holes but just not consistent enough during the eighteen. Andy L completed his best tour to date with a just below half way finish. |
