On a surprisingly mild day we had just a few holes of drizzle which gave us a good day to finish off the 2013 season. Nico took the match day Stableford with a one under par 37, which came just over 5 years since he last one (June 2008 to be exact) he also took the nearest the pin and rounded off an excellent day being crowned 2013 pairs champion with Wiggy. Back in second place and 4 shots back was Division 3 Sean Anderson that took all his respective league titles making it a very good season all round. Back in third pace was probably player of the season Chris Shaw who like Sean took all his league titles along with the prestigious Grand prix. He season saw him finish in the top 4 places seven times out of nine events (but falling short of winning one) It was generally a low scoring day so we adjust the SSS to 73 which helped a couple of golfers maintain their handicap ready for the AGM and more importantly the season handicap review. A couple of other memorable moments to round the season off saw Blunders hit Cam with the ball with frustration after a string of bad shots, also taking a chunk out of the Green (Etiquette)  The the captain finished off the season with a handful of slips and slides during the early holes, due to having his summer shoes on in quite muddy conditions. It was looking like he had escaped the embarrassment until he hit a long 7 iron to the 15th which ended down a steep bank at the back of the green. I think the picture on the right explains clearly what happened next. Keep checking the website for the latest updates and planning for next season.
