Top society player Craig lines up his putt on the short par 3 17th. The 14 handicapper has made a solid start to his WGGC career.

Dale all smiles on the same hole picking his ball out the hole after a good birdie 2.

Well the nearly man Gez Newsome finally ended his duck of winning an event after many second and third places. He posted 42 points after a solid round going both in and out with 21 points. Cam ran him very close posting 41 points which would have been better but for a sloppy 7 on the fourth hole.

It all could have been different if the Captain had continued to play on the back nine. Pete posted a one over par 38 after nine, made up of 7 pars, 1 birdie and 1 bogey. Unfortunately he then posted 6 blobs in 7 holes and finished off with two pars for a disappointing 34 points that on another day would have been pretty good. Special mention again goes to Bez who chipped in for 2 on the par 4 6th for a gross eagle, nett albatross and another whopping 5 point hall. Steve W continues to improve with him picking up the nearest the pin on the 12th for the second event running.

Anthony H in action (above) at the 7th. His average round of 33 was peppered with 4 sevens in the opening 8 holes which he recovered from well. Graham (above) all relaxed before starting his round. Course knowledge was to help as he netted a very good 39 points to finish in the top 3 overall. Krys J (above) gives the thumbs up to his shot on the 3rd. A good day this for Krys with him picking up the captains combination prize for his combined 8 points on the 7th, 9th and 15th. Cam (above) just where you would expect to see him, not on the fairway. But he proved us all wrong today with some excellent recovery shots from another fairways.  Fellow society members watch on (below) at the 1st checking out the shot on the tight opener.
