The weather forecast  did not disappoint with torrential rain starting late morning right through to our start time at 12:30. Personal choice then took over as we approached the 1st tee time, with many thinking of knocking it on the head but everyone but Abbo decided to give it a go. Walking out on to the first it was like the tap was turned off with the next 8 or so holes being sunshine. A couple more heavy down pours made it difficult for about 2 or 3 holes but in the end everyone but Rob W completed the 18 holes. Rob giving up at 9 in the middle of another heavy downpour. Did not seem to effect the golf that much with 4 golfers breaking the 40 point barrier and further 12 playing within there buffer zone.

The winner was Howard F who secured his first society win with a massive 43 points. Only one blob and a gross 7 on the last hole stopped him from winning easily. He now moves down to 22.6 and seems to have much more in the arsenal to stake a claim for a division 2 place next season. Cam lost out on countback with his only blob on the back nine, it seems the less he plays the better he plays. His reward was a three shot cut down to 21 consolidating his position in Division 2. A single point back in third was an impressive display from Rick who playing off 13 notched 42 points. Like the other two guys only 1 blob but the two single point score just left him short of top spot. The other 40 pointer and back in 4th place was the rapidly improving James H, who is now close to becoming our second single figure golfer now down to 10.2. His one over par gross on the back nine was classy stuff. No blobs but a few single point score on the front nine left him a few points short of another win ant that single point handicap.
