Our final event of the year saw us get some very good weather for the time of year. Not a breath of wind and a decent 13 degrees was a good basis for the days events. The course was very wet after a few days of constant rain, but for all of that the greens where like lightning. The course played long due to wet conditions which was reflected in the scores. Only two golfers broke par and then only by a single point, with only another 6 getting within their buffer zone. Back in third place was the consistent Gez (also known as the "Nearly man") who carded a very good 35 points beating his brother Paul and Krys J on count back. No blobs and sluggish start with only 15 points on the front 9, took it away from him early. Krys probably let it slip with 3 blobs on the card for his 35 points. Tommo ended up second on count back after carding an impressive one under par. Not a blob in sight and steady golf was only let down by a couple of wayward short puts in the middle of the back nine. But the winner was Chris Shaw who's one under par 37 was his first match day win for just over 3 years. If that was not enough he clinched the pairs title with his partner Nico beating Rick & Woody by 12 points. One blob and 2 single point scores where the only blemishes on a good day at the office. Solid driving, steady approaches and measured putting took him to top spot and a positive end to the season. His third consecutive score under par was a welcome finish to a season where he could not get out of the 20's in the first 5 events. James pushed Anthony all the way for the coveted Division one OOM, but two points was enough to give Anthony the title for the third year running.
