The 2025 season warm-up event kicked off successfully with a strong turnout of 30 golfers, aided by some good weather. (After the forecast predicted rain) While the overall course was in decent shape, several greens unfortunately suffered from very poor conditions. Despite some rusty shots following a lengthy winter break, the performance of most was encouraging, with two-thirds of the field shooting in the thirties, indicating that most players are not far away.

With only 3 points separating the top 9 places the poor greens may have had an impact on the final result. The competitive group of five golfers, all scoring between 34 and 35 points, had their opportunities to secure victory, but one standout player, Jack, faltered at a critical moment. Despite having 34 points after 15 holes and only three holes left to play, he unfortunately blobbed all of them, which ultimately cost him the chance to win the day.

The day's winner was determined by countback, with Howard coming in a close second. He delivered an impressive performance, avoiding any blobs and finishing with a steady par of 36, scoring 18 points on each nine. Despite his strong showing, he narrowly missed out on top honors to James Little. He also recorded 18 points on each nine for his par of 36 (with 1 blob) but it was James's par on the 15th that won the day for him. Although not the best of starts as you can see from the video.
