Again we got very lucky with the weather. Forecast rain for most of the day for days/weeks before yet on the day a few spots. The temperature was colder than it had been but still decent for early November. Great food before and after with everyone hanging around after to finish the season off with smiles. The golf also gave most golfers reasons to smile with almost two thirds of the field ending up with 30 points plus. The course played really well (as always) and gave everyone a chance as long as you were not expecting much role. Green s in great condition considering the wet weather we had for may days before. Six golfers ending up on par or one over were only a putt or chip away from the podium.

Four golfers ended up breaking par with Jim having a welcome return to form with a 1 under par 37. Then 2 golfers Jamie and Ammo 2 shots better off on 39. Both cursing a couple of bad shot on the last 3 holes. But holding his nerve to secure a par on the 18th (for 3 points) and grab his first match day win since 2015 was the Captain (Pete).

Another great season and the first full one since 2019 welcomed a few new golfers and saw some cement there places after solid performances. Match day wins saw 9 different winners, and the clubhouse prizes saw 13 different winners. Looking forward to another great season in 2023 our 19th.
