On a day that was perfect for golf at a course who's greens were in absolutely perfect condition, and certainly close to being the best we have played on at least in the UK. On a record turn out of 30 for a match day it was quite a tight affair at he top with only 2 points separating the first 6 places. Just 2 shots back from the winner was James H and Woody, with 3 golfers sharing a good even par round. Alan back in forth spot and Jack in third on count back. Second place went to Paresh who certainly had a good day taking firstly the 2019 Committee Shield easily form Craig with a 7&6 victory and then teaming up with "Mr Pairs" himself Nico for a 4 point win over James H and Paddy to take the 2019 honors. His round saw no blobs but with five single point scores the trio of wins on the day just slipped away from him.

The winner on the day was Wiggy who's one under par was a good result on the tight Solihull course. His round consisted of only 1 blob and 6 pars for a tidy round which was evenly spread across both nines. Many others had good scores that on paper did not look good, but with the tight tree lined course and well placed bunkers that certainly challenged you even if you were slightly off line. Miss big was a better outcome on quite a few of the holes. Most enjoyable day and glad to get back to the relatively normal playing conditions after the lockdown situation, and good to see the return of the competitions, along with the conclusion of the 2019 Committee Shield and pairs.
