Another great day for golf, dodging the inclement weather there was around. 22 degrees a touch of wind and course in excellent condition, certainly set the scene for the day. Almost half the field scored 30 or above with many having a good day with some notable return to a bit of form. Back in equal third place was Wiggy and Anthony H. Wiggy made the turn on 21 points and was on for a winning score but a couple of wayward shots and poor putts on the back nine led to only 13 points some 4 short of victory. Anthony is always capable of a wining score and after nine had 19 points in the bag. A scrappy blob on the 14th did not help, but the par 5 17th was the hole that lost him the win on the day, but rounded off the day with a nice par on the courses feature hole 18th. Second place went to Pete Randle who had a welcome return to form. His consistent round made up of 18 points on each nine was almost good enough to take the day, but like Anthony had trouble on the 17th which also led to a blob, struggling to get off the tee, and fluffing the approach to the green. The days winner by a single point went to James H who shoot the best gross score of the day with 84. His excellent round was made up of 10 pars and a birdie, with only two blobs on the card, ironically both on par 3s.
