 Our
latest event on a great day for golf was responsible for
shaving seven strokes off society handicaps. With 3 golfers
hitting the forty point barrier and more and a further two
breaking par. Top of the pile was Craig Whatsize with an
impressive 42 points. His round saw an impressive 10 pars
and a birdie (and a two on the par 3 third) going out in 24
points. His only blob came on the 13th which ended up being
the hardest hole on the day with no pars or birdies. Second
was Rick who's 40 points saw no blobs and 8 pars and the
reward of one shot off his handicap. Also on 40 points and
back in third place was Sean A. His score only saw one blob
but 9 holes with a 3 point hall. His reduction in handicap
of two down to 26 was not the best timing for the Blue team
with the Wyder Cup on the horizon. Two golfers finished a
further shot back on 39 to complete all the golfers to break
par. Gez N & Graham. Graham has been threatening a good
score and managed to deliver today although he is playing
very limited golf. His round was solid with no blobs, a four
pointer but just a few to many single points scores to take
top spot. Gez got off to a blistering start scoring 22
points at the turn, with a blistering 7 pars out of nine.
His back nine just dropped away a little only 4 pars and a
blob which took the top spot away from him. A handicap
reduction down to 12 was his reward. |
