Originally formed in 1975 as a 9 hole course, Little Lakes Golf Club has received substantial investment and remodeling to create what is today one of the most popular golf clubs in the county. The current 18 hole layout opened in 2000 to much acclaim and has rapidly established itself as a popular venue for many society, corporate and county union events. The course, built on the edge of the dramatic Wyre forest (spectacular in the Autumn), is a traditional parkland course with a unique feel for encouraging shots more akin to links golf.  Many water features have been added to enhance the course and to further develop the name and image of Little Lakes.
